Paper Plants

Students will learn the parts of a flower and how pollination works.

LESSON PLAN

Materials:

  • Origami paper

 

Time Needed: 45 minutes

I Do: 15 minutes

  • What is a plant?

  • Parts of the plant (roots, stem, and leaves)

  • Why are flowers important?

  • Parts of the flower (petals, sepals, stamen, pistil)

    • How pollination works

 

We Do: 15 minutes

  • Have the students follow instructions on how to make paper tulip flowers and stems

 

You Do: 10 minutes 

  • Give them a diagram of a flower and have them label it

  • What is one cool fact that you learned about plants or flowers today?​
